Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use PowerPoint2Vid (powerpoint2vid.com), operated by Mal Gordon in Western Australia (“we”, “us”). By using the site or the converter, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The service
PowerPoint2Vid turns slide decks into narrated videos. Basic is the browser converter, with a watermark on exports. Pro is the a.i.-directed version, with no watermark. Plans, prices and what each includes are on the pricing page. We may change the service, its features and its prices. A price change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
Your account
You must give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
You keep ownership of the slides, images, text and other material you upload (“your content”), and of the videos made from it. You give us a limited licence to store, copy, process and display your content, including by sending it to our service providers, only so we can provide the service to you. You confirm that you have the rights to use your content and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights.
Videos are created with a.i. and automated tools, and the result may contain mistakes. Please check each video before you publish or rely on it.
Acceptable use
Do not use PowerPoint2Vid to:
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, deceptive or infringes someone’s rights;
- make videos that mislead people, such as impersonating a person or organisation;
- try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or avoid its limits;
- resell or give away access to your account.
We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Payments, credits and refunds
Subscriptions renew each billing period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Credits for single videos do not expire. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in Australian dollars unless the page says otherwise and include GST where it applies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including a remedy if a video is not delivered or is not of acceptable quality. Contact us at [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Availability
We aim to keep PowerPoint2Vid running but do not guarantee it will be without interruption or errors. We may pause the service for maintenance or changes.
Our intellectual property
The site, software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any right to them other than to use the service as intended.
Our responsibility
The Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded. Subject to those, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Where the law lets us, we limit our liability for a breach of a guarantee to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Ending these terms
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to meet a legal obligation. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, liability and these general terms, continue afterwards.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you agree to the courts of Western Australia. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms. Questions: [email protected].
